“It was thinking about all the kind people and businesses that had sponsored us, that helped me get through the last couple of miles,” stated Megan Rand, our sales and marketing executive .
Megan and her colleague Zack Ryan, who is the workshop foreman, were both competing in this month’s Cardiff half marathon and raising funds for a local charity, the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital.
The pair achieved their target of raising £600.00, which will be used to help vulnerable babies and children in Wales that need specialist and often life-saving treatment at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital.
Zack just missed out on the under-two hour mark, but Megan achieved a very creditable sub two-thirty finish. Both now have the running bug and fully intend to keep up their training and are aiming to better their times next year.
“The atmosphere generated by a big crowd of supporters really helped me to push on”, said Zack. “I needed all the help I could get from them to encourage me to keep going, especially the last two miles, which was mainly uphill” confirmed Zack.
Megan concurred, “The organisers certainly knew how test us. The uphill section really was the worst bit, but it was all made worthwhile when I crossed the finished line and had my medal round my neck.”
“We both want to wholeheartedly thank everyone that donated. People have been very generous,” added Megan and Zack.

We are celebrating being bestowed with ‘highly commended’ status in the Green Supplier and Innovation Awards 2019.
Although we just missed out on the top prize, the judges commented on “the positive sustainable changes that you are making with your business, products and services”.
The judges also commented that the quantity and quality of entries made it extremely difficult to shortlist just three companies so being commended is an achievement in itself.
As we received their award, Mat Llewellyn said, “We have a team of designers and engineers that are working tirelessly to create a range of lighting sets and power generators that reduce and eventually eliminate the use of fossil fuels. We were delighted to have our efforts formally recognised. We are all looking forward to being at the show, where visitors can view our machinery first-hand. A warm welcome is guaranteed.”
The Green Supplier and Innovation Awards were coordinated by the organisers of the 2019 Showman’s Show set to be held on the 16th and 17th October at the Newbury Showground. The Showman’s Show is the UK’s original and most comprehensive exhibition of products, services and entertainment for the festival, outdoor and special event industry.
We will be showcasing a wide range of innovative and ‘eco-friendly’ lighting and power generation machinery, including a solar powered tower light and two generators that are powered from non‐fossil initiated fuels.
We are busily preparing for the forthcoming ‘lighting season’ following our significant investment in a wide range of site lighting solutions.
We have taken immediate delivery of nearly seven hundred individual lighting towers from the Italian manufacturer, Trime.
The order comprises of traditional LED diesel engine powered X-ECO lights, alongside the increasingly popular X-HYBRID SOLAR and X-POLE SOLAR sets. A fleet of BABY-LITE (LED-4) lighting rigs complete our latest investment in lighting towers.
Mat Llewellyn said, “We already are shipping out our lighting sets to hire firms throughout the UK and Ireland. Judging by the amount of enquiries we are currently handling we expect this winter to be a very busy one for lighting. So we are making sure that we are well prepared to meet with this demand.”
“Although the Trime X-ECO LED diesel powered units remain one of our most popular lighting towers, there is a growing trend to seek out more sustainable units, hence our investment in hybrid solar sets,” added Mat.
The Trime X-HYBRID SOLAR lighting units are powered through an individually designed hybrid power supply system. This comprises of a solar panel connected to rechargeable batteries backed-up by a small diesel engine. The combined system substantially lowers fuel usage with a corresponding reduction of CO2 emissions. The X-POLE SOLAR is powered exclusively via battery and solar panels thus completely eliminating any carbon output.
The BABY-LITE (LED-4) is manufactured exclusively for MHM. It features 4 no. 200W LED lamps fitted onto a 360º swivel and tilt lighting head, with a 4m vertical stainless steel manual mast. The base has been configured to accept most brands of petrol or diesel generators from 2 – 6.5kVA. This gives the hire firm complete flexibility to choose their individual power source.
In readiness for the forthcoming lighting season, Rocket Rentals, the Gloucester based hirer of tools; access and plant, have invested in twenty-seven lighting towers supplied by us.
After carefully researching the site lighting market, Rocket Rentals eventually decided that the Trime X-ECO LEDwould be an ideal fit for their hire fleet.
This is the first order for lighting towers received by us from Rocket Rentals.
“We looked at several makes of lighting towers before opting for the X-ECO LED,” said Rocket Rental’s Simon Tomblin. “However we were really impressed with the quality of the build of the X-ECO and how easy MHM made this investment possible. We received outstanding service from MHM Plant,” added Simon.
The X-ECO LED has a number of environmental qualities and safety aspects. The set is fitted with the AMOSS safety system, which automatically lowers the mast if the lighting set is moved whilst the mast is still erected. The complete unit features an external emergency stop button, a fully bunded fuel tank, four height adjustable stabilisers and site levels for guidance during deployment. The energy saving LED lamps will work for up to 50,000 hours without replacement.
These sets are already being made ready for what Rocket Rentals describe as a ‘high profile contract’ and as demand increases during the darker months, Rocket Rentals are ready to commit to further investments in the X-ECO LED units.
Rocket Rentals Limited was incorporated on 2nd May 2001. It remains an independent family run business. They supply a wide range of tools, plant, access and associated machinery from their base in Slimbridge, Gloucester.
City Hire, the London based hirer of a wide range of tools and equipment, are expanding their supply of power generation machinery following their recent investment of a line of our 45kVA sets
Caspar Douglass, City Hire’s Marketing Executive explained, “We currently offer our clients a range of power generators from 3.0kVA to 20.0kVA. However we were receiving a number of enquiries for larger sets, which prompted this latest investment.”

Our ‘Ready to Rent’ 45.0kVA generators have a host of features and benefits that make them ideally suited for use on UK wide construction sites. These include; an engine protection shutdown system for guarding against low fuel, low oil pressure, high engine temperature and battery charge failure. The sets are also fitted with a three-way fuel valve that allows easy connection to an external fuel tank for longer operation. Taking centre stage will be two of our latest innovations; the MGTP 6000 6.0kVA solar/hybrid generator, alongside the MG 6000 SSY-ECO 6.0kVA ‘intelligent’ automatic start/stop generator.
The MGTP 6000 has all the attributes of a standard site set with the exception that it runs almost exclusively from non‐fossil initiated fuels. The MGTP 6000 features a fully adjustable roof mounted high efficiency solar panel which will provide power to the sealed lead acid batteries in all UK weather conditions. A recent test showed that over a 47 day [1128 hours] period, the engine only ran for 11% of the total time and consequently saved up to 4.9 tons of carbon emissions.
MG 6000 SSY-ECO is a 6.0kVA power generator that has a built‐in ECO auto stop/start module that instructs the generator to automatically start when power is needed. Conversely, the engine stops when the demand for power finishes. Once set up on site no further human interaction is needed. Trials have shown that over a three day period 52.17kg of carbon emissions were saved.
Clean, bright lighting is also a prerequisite for outside events. We will be displaying three advanced lighting sets that deliver safe lighting levels and reduce fuel costs and carbon emissions. Their X-SOLAR HYBRID, X-POLE and BABY-LITE [with an energy saving LED battery pack] will be ready for inspection for environmentally conscious event managers.

This June, Josh Llewellyn our Chairman, will be celebrating his 70th birthday.
Josh began his journey way back in 1972.
His first foray into the welder and power generator markets was through the formation of GenSet Limited.
GenSet was originally set up to exclusively distribute a range of Italian made machines of the same name throughout the UK and Ireland. GenSet were also the pioneers in developing a re-hire service, which has been continued to this day by his son, Mat, through MHM Plant.
For over 30 years, GenSet machinery became synonymous with the hire industry with many leading hire firms investing in the GenSet brand.
Josh was instrumental in the introduction of a range of lighting towers and welfare units specially designed for the UK and Irish hire markets. He remains the chairman of Genquip Limited, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of temporary accommodation units. In addition, to MHM and Genquip, he also is the chairman of Security TBS Ltd and Tekno Proget, in Italy,
Josh was honoured in the 2008 Hire Association Europe, Hire Awards of Excellence as ‘Hireman (as it was then) of the Year’. When he picked up the award he commented: “I am absolutely delighted to win the award. This is a tribute I shall cherish for a long time to come.”
Still highly active in hire industry, Josh is regularly seen at industry events, most notably at the annual Executive Hire Show and Hire Association Europe Conferences.

In Cornwall, contractors will be able to purchase MHM goods from Vincent Tractors and Plant – a multi-faceted equipment dealer with depots in Fraddon, Holsworthy and Smithaleigh. Vincent Tractors and Plant supply a wide range of equipment for the construction, arboriculture, grounds care and agriculture markets. They will stock products from MHM range ready for quick delivery to firms in their areas.
Likewise, firms in Scotland’s central belt can now purchase MHM machinery from the Coatbridge based stockist, D and S Plant Services – a leading provider of services to the construction machinery industry. Aside from supplying new machinery, D and S Plant also have a well-established and experienced plant repair service.
With over fifteen years’ experience in the supply of construction machinery, Gloucestershire based Equipment One Limited was a natural choice for MHM to hold their equipment in the South-West area. Equipment One already stocks a vast range of construction related products including; Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Telehandlers and Vibrating Plates. The MHM products will complement their current range.
“We are fully aware that many local builders and contractors often prefer to buy their equipment from their local suppliers and therefore we knew to reach these types of firms we needed to look out for regional suppliers,” said Mat Llewellyn. “Individuals and SME’s in Gloucestershire, Cornwall and in Central Scotland can now have direct access to our equipment through these stockists. We have completed our preparations and we will be heading off to the Green Isle Hotel, in Dublin, ready for the inaugural Executive Hire Show Ireland.
Set for Wednesday 5th June and opening between 3:30 – 7:30pm, the Executive Hire Show Ireland is an informal event where hire firms can meet suppliers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The show will showcase a wide range of plant, tools and equipment focused on the Irish rentals markets.
We will be exhibiting our MG 10000 SSK ‘Ready to Rent’ 10kVA diesel generator, two Mighty Midget welders; a petrol driven 175 and diesel powered 200 amp. These popular machines will be set alongside a our portable load bank designed to offer portable, easy, simple and efficient voltage, frequency and amperage load testing for generators up to 38kVA.
We will be showcasing our Fuel Caddi-105. This brand new product is a 105 litre transportable and portable IBC fuel container ideally suited for safely delivering fuel for generators, heaters and for fuel storage on site. In addition, our 10kVA diesel generator is now built to an enhanced specification with the introduction of the new Deep Sea 3110 starting system.
Mat said, “We are all looking forward to being at the show, it will be a great opportunity to present our range of equipment and explain our re-hire service directly to hire firms based in Ireland.”

Miles Hire Limited the Welsh hirer of plant, tools and access equipment have taken delivery of a fleet of our fuel storage and distribution products.
Entitled the ‘MHM Fuel Caddi’, Miles Hire has purchased an initial five units for distribution to their Swansea, Cardiff and Bridgend depots. The Fuel Caddis will be made available for hire and for the safe delivery of fuel by the Miles Hire maintenance teams.
The Fuel Caddi is an intermediate bulk container (IBC) with a 105 litre capacity. It is fully transportable and delivers fuel via a hand pump, hose and nozzle. The Fuel Caddi’s fully bunded base guards
against ground contamination and it is easily transported via its handy fork lift pockets and lifting eyes. The Fuel Caddi can be delivered, full of fuel, without the need for a driver to have ADR training. It is ideally suited to refuel generators, heaters and other similar items of plant.
Commenting on this purchase, Ryan Miles, Director, Miles Hire Limited said, “We first spotted the Fuel Caddi at the Executive Hire Show back in February. We were immediately impressed with the Fuel Caddi’s easy manoeuvrability and safe storage of fuel. We initially purchased them for our own use, but we can see potential opportunities to hire these out.”

Dungannon’s Glendun Plant Sales have advanced plans to display a large range of plant and machinery at the forthcoming Balmoral Show, which is Northern Ireland’s largest agricultural event. The show is set for 15th to 18th May and held at Balmoral Park, Halftown Rd, Sprucefield.
With visitors expected from right across the island of Ireland and with off-grid electricity an important factor within the agricultural markets, Glendun Plant will be showcasing a line of advanced power generation machinery, alongside a range of fuel storage and dispersion options.
In 2018, Glendun Plant Sales were appointed as our Northern Ireland’s distributor. Since their appointment, Glendun Plant has supplied our equipment to numerous Northern Irish construction, agricultural and utility contractors.
On display will be two examples from our generator line-up; 6.0kVA and 10kVA dual voltage (110v/230v) super-silenced sets, both with long run fuel tanks and each powered by either the latest Yanmar or Kubota diesel engine. To compliment these units and to enhance the safe storage and distribution of fuel on site, Glendun will be displaying our latest fuel distribution module – a 105 litre capacity, fully transportable fuel storage tank, entitled the Fuel Caddi-105. To complete the Glendun/MHM show line-up visitors will be invited to inspect our new fuel tank range, which boasts fuel capacities up to 3000 litres and are completely transportable. A 910 litre version will be on site throughout the show.

Our talented young apprentice from Treherbert, in the Rhondda, South Wales has scooped a top prize in the 2019 Hire Awards of Excellence.
Leonie Morris, who works as an apprentice fitter has been judged as ‘The Apprentice of the Year’ at a glittering ceremony held at the Grosvenor Hotel, London. Her prize was awarded to her by BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Anton Du Beke.
Leonie (22) joined us in August 2017. She extends her time repairing, maintaining and servicing a wide range of power generation and associated equipment, alongside her studies at Bridgend College.
The Hire Awards of Excellence celebrate the amazing achievements of hire and supply companies across the UK and Ireland’s plant, tool, equipment and event hire industry. Crucial recognition is also given to outstanding individuals who have consistently stood out from the crowd and achieved and set some of the highest standards in the industry. All the winners have been independently judged against stringent criteria, with the awards providing an excellent way of acknowledging and showcasing some of the very best practices that the hire industry can offer.
Commenting on winning this award, Leonie said, “I am honoured to have been given this award. It’s a great feeling to be formally recognised for doing a job I genuinely enjoy. I am lucky enough to be surrounded by enthusiastic and talented people, who always have the time to help me progress. I hope that my success will encourage other young men and women to take up an apprenticeship in the UK hire industry, as it’s a great business to be in.”
Steven Jones, Workshop Manager, added, “Talent isn’t a word I would use lightly, but in Leonie’s case, it applies. She is equally at home with petrol, diesel, mechanical and electrical equipment. I’ve worked with a few apprentices in my time, but none achieved, so early in their growth, the very high standards that Leonie sets out for herself.”
We are celebrating being chosen as finalists in three individual categories in the forthcoming Hire Association Europe Hire Awards of Excellence.
The panel of judges have placed the new our Baby-Lite LED4 Lighting Tower in the final of Hire Industry Product of the Year section and our Hire Desk and Office Manager, Bethan Jones, joins four contemporaries in the Hire Manager of the Year of the category.
Finally, Leonie Morris, our youngest team member, has been selected in a three person contest in the final of Apprentice of the Year.
The awards will be announced at a gala dinner hosted by Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton du Beke at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 13th April 2019.
Commenting on these successes, Mat Llewellyn said, “We are absolutely delighted and honoured to be finalists in three categories. This exceeded our expectations. To have our hire manager and workshop apprentice both vying for the top award is a testament to their skills and hard work. Whatever the final outcome is, we can be immensely proud of their achievements.”
The super-fit trio comprising of; Megan Rand (Sales & Marketing Executive), Bethan Jones (Hire Desk & Office Manager) along with Liam Pullen from the firm’s workshop, have stepped up their training routines and are getting ready to compete in the forthcoming Cardiff Half Marathon 2019, which takes place on 6th October 2019.
Megan Rand explained their motivations for entering this event, “None of us have ever competed in any marathons before!! We’ve completed some smaller 10km runs, so this is a real big challenge for us! However, we really want to do MHM proud and we are taking our training very seriously, we hope to finish in a decent time and hopefully we will have raised enough money to reach our target of £600.
All the donations and sponsorship they receive will be handed to their chosen charity – Cardiff’s Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital. The money will be used to provide critical children’s services and to purchase vital medical equipment including the installation of facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool.
Megan added, “We hope by reaching our target we can contribute to making a real difference to the 73,000 vulnerable babies and children in Wales each year that need specialist and often life-saving treatment at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital.”

Baker Plant Hire (BPH) a leading Lincolnshire independent hire firm has invested in a fleet of site lighting towers.
This is their first venture into site tower lighting. The company opted for the Trime X-ECO LED lighting set supplied by our us.
“I believe that our policy of always being responsive to a customer’s requirements is the thing that makes us stand out from our competitors,” contended Paul Layton, Plant Manager for Sleaford based, Baker Plant Hire.
“So when one of our clients needed three lighting towers for a long-term contract at a renewable energy plant we immediately set about researching the market for site lighting suppliers,” continued Paul.
Paul contacted three suppliers and carefully evaluated their respective offers.
“The MHM X-ECO LED unit was the most appealing to us for several reasons, but principally because the unit had all the features that our client required fitted as standard and Mat (Mat Llewellyn – MHM’s managing director) put together a very competitive quotation,” added Paul.
The lights have been delivered to site and will be soon be providing safe and secure illumination throughout the winter months.
With efficient performance at the core of its development, the manufacturer has calculated that the X-ECO LED uses approximately £336.00 less in fuel each month when compared to many traditionally illuminated lighting sets. The set is also fitted with the AMOSS safety system, which automatically lowers the mast if the lighting set is moved whilst the mast is still erected.
Baker Plant Hire offers a comprehensive range of large and small plant and tool hire, which includes a line of non-operated equipment, such as disc cutters, cement mixers, accommodation units, breakers and plate compactors. They also supply powered access machinery throughout their locality and right across the Country.
Their purpose built headquarters was opened in January 2016
Lee Stuart, of Stuart Energy explained, “One of our clients in the North-West needed some temporary power on a site but access was very limited. We couldn’t get any of our vehicles near enough to properly site the generator, so we called our rehire partner, MHM for advice.”
After some careful consideration, we assessed that one of our 30kVA super-silenced sets fitted onto a road tow trailer would be ideally suited for this application. We duly despatched the set from the headquarters and it arrived the very next day at Stuart Energy’s office in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.
Stuart Energy’s engineers towed the generator to the client’s site and with some careful manoeuvrings soon had the power up and running.
Lee continued, “Our client was delighted. MHM’s service is always excellent. Their hire desk is polite, helpful and never keeps you hanging around. With their modern equipment and excellent after sales service, we are always confident that we are going to get the right equipment for our customers.”
Stuart Energy Limited was formed in February 2018 and is operated by Brothers Lee and Mark Stuart utilising the business acumen of their father, Fred. The trio previously managed the longstanding generator hire firm, Mather and Stuart. Although a relatively new player in the power market, Stuart Energy can boast over 100 years’ experience in the generator hire markets. Their super-silenced hire fleet encompasses a power band between 10kVA to 1250kVA. They operate from the North-West but cover the entire UK.
We are hailing an excellent regional Glasgow EHN regional Road Show.
Commenting on the event, Mat Llewellyn said, “The show had all the
ingredients to make up a great day. We saw many of our existing clients as well quite a few potential customers. The organisers should be congratulated in securing a great mix of national, regional and independent hire firms to the show.”
“The intimate setting meant that we were able to properly interact with all the delegates. With our Coatbridge depot now up and running, the timing of the show was perfect to introduce the team that will be running this brand new operation,” added Mat.
We have extended our operations with the appointment of Laois Hire as our dealer for the Republic of Ireland.
Laois Hire have already stocked up with a line of our generators from 5.0 to 25.0 kVA and a fleet of welders up to 300 amps. The company will maintain a stock of fast moving, popular products typically being 6 and 10kVA generators alongside Mighty Midget and 200amp petrol welders.
In the first instance, Laois Hire was drawn to the quality of our products, citing the high quality of the manufacture and the attractive finish of all of our sets. This, combined with very competitive price points on the machines, made a very appealing aggregation to the Laois Hire management.
Commenting on this arrangement, Conor Stafford, Branch Manager at Laois Hire Dublin said, “Overall our experience with MHM has been second to none. Mat is extremely knowledgeable about the whole range and is always on the other end of the ‘phone. The guys in the office are the same, very helpful and alert to whatever needs we have. Laois Hire was established over 20 years ago and is now a leading plant and tool hire company in Ireland. In the line with our current ambitious expansion plans, we have confirmed Glendun Plant Sales Limited as our distributor for Northern Ireland.
Glendun Plant Sales is based in Dungannon, County Tyrone and is an established and well respected dealer and distributor for a wide
range of plant, tools and equipment.
Commenting on this latest distributorship for Glendun Plant, Dermot Cunnie, sales director said, “We had seen the success that Mat was having in Great Britain through various trade publications and online media. Our interest in the product developed after a very positive meeting at our offices. The quality is a main factor – we are already familiar with the lighting tower products and the MHM generators are a very good fit to our profile”.
Following these successful discussions, Glendun Plant Sales placed an initial order for a stock of our petrol and diesel generators from 3.0kVA to 25kVA. They also received an immediate order for a 3,000 litre fuel cube from one of their regular customers and an order for 6.0kVa sets from Balloo Hire Centres. Glendun have committed to keep in stock a wide range of fast moving items, which will build up as customer demands become apparent in their area.
Dermot added, “Mat and the team have been a great help in getting us up and running. They know the product, market and the business, so it’s onwards and upwards!”

The company, which has just celebrated its tenth year in business, already has a fleet of MHM petrol and diesel generators from 4.0 to 70.0kVA. They opted for the MHM GE33 SSY sets following a specific request from one of their clients.
Gary Derraven, Phoenix Hire and Sales Managing Director said, “We took the decision some time ago to standardise on the full range of MHM generators. These two 33.0kVA sets are a new size for us, but following our policy to always respond to individual customer requirements, we selected these generators as they matched our customer’s exact requirements.”
The MHM 33kVA generator features a Linz alternator driven by the latest Yanmar diesel engine. With the MHM-Gen engine protection shutdown system fitted as standard, the hirer will be guarded against low fuel, low oil pressure, high engine temperature and battery charge failure. The set is fitted with a fully bunded base, helping to resist any ground contamination from oil or fuel.

2018 saw Phoenix Hire and Sales reach 10 years in business. The company was originally founded by Gary Derraven in 2008 ‘out of the ashes’ of Kingfisher Hire. They marked this milestone by a special event open to all staff and their partners held at the Vale of Glamorgan resort. The Phoenix Hire and Sales teams were treated to food and drink, with the entertainment provided by a Tom Jones tribute act.
West Midlands based Greenpower Plant, along with their sister tool hire firm Hirelink UK have been steadily increasing their respective fleets of MHM power generators.
Greenpower Plant which boasts an extensive hire fleet of JCB machinery and power access equipment have increased their line of power generation products to encompass a power band between 10 to 100kVA. Hirelink UK, which principally serves the small plant and tool hire markets, have a large collection of power generators up to 8kVA. During the summer months, Hirelink UK is a renowned hirer of generators to outdoor festivals throughout the UK.
Both companies are headed by David Green. Commenting on these recent new investments David said, “Running a small plant hire company and also a heavy plant hire company together means that I get all sorts of suppliers seeking a chance to use their products. The truth is we are very loyal; I have no need to use other suppliers whilst I am happy with MHM and, more importantly, my customers are happy. This means we can concentrate on other aspects of the business which need looking after, rather than worrying about generators and associated products.”
Greenpower Plant recently secured an order from a well-known housebuilder working in London. Greenpower Plant supplied them with several brand new 100kVA sets to supply the power to this project.
David added, “We have agreed to supply this particular house builder with brand new generators every two years. We won this contract over other hire companies as we offered a free weekly site visit to ensure generators are working efficiently.”
Greenpower Plant and Hirelink UK are more than satisfied with the MHM products. They confirmed that they have found that MHM to be a trusted manufacturer with a “fantastic” back-up service.
David concluded with this accolade, “It’s inevitable that things sometimes do go wrong on site. But even if it’s 4.00pm on a Friday, we know if we call MHM it is always dealt with. Plus being able to call Mat, their managing director, at any time to deal with a problem is also a massive plus.”

The Swansea branch of Brandon Hire have hired six lighting towers to the BBC’s ‘Biggest Weekend’ music festival held at Singleton Park, just outside the City centre.
With thousands of music fans descending onto the site, naturally the safety of the visitors was of paramount importance. Consequently, the event organisers contacted Brandon Hire’s Swansea branch requesting some substantial engine-powered lighting sets that would ensure the safe passage of both foot traffic and vehicles into the main arena.
Brandon Hire’s Swansea branch manager, Chris Lewis explained, “We have close links with the event teams at Swansea Council and they recommended us to the organisers of the Biggest Weekend. The requirement was for good quality lighting along with extended running times between refuelling.”
“We decided that due to the importance of this very prestigious event, the X-Eco LED lighting sets
would be the best product to cover the organiser’s responsibilities. We have had previous experience with these units and always found them more than satisfactory,” added Chris.

Based in the Borders of Scotland, Redpath Tool Hire is currently expanding their range of generators due to increasing demand from clients throughout Scotland and the Border region.
The company, owned and managed by Alan Redpath, have over the past two years purchased a collection of 2.5kVA and 6.0kVA petrol and diesel sets. With the call for larger sets mounting, the company has now extended their hire fleet to include 20kVA sets, following a new investment in the our GE 20 SSY-MV, UK Rental Specification model.
Redpath Tool Hire have already secured a long term, 8-month, hire for one of the GE 20 SSY-MV sets with a well-established and renowned house builder.
Before the company selected us as their principal supplier of power generation machinery, they carried out an extensive evaluation of generators offered by other manufacturers. After the completion of this evaluation process, it became evident that we led the way in meeting their technical and commercial criteria. They have now finalised a long-term supply agreement with us alongside other key suppliers.
Alan Redpath explained,” We have been dealing with Mat and the team at MHM Plant for nearly two years now. They have demonstrated on numerous occasions their ability to deliver and support hires throughout Scotland whether it be hire or sale.”

We are already in advance discussions to support MHM Plant and promote their products throughout Scotland in the coming months.”
